چکیده

Methods A healthy minipig, measured 5 times using first pass DCE imaging. We sampled the arterial input function (AIF) and the tissue response function (TRF), from the mid-ventricular tissue region from anterior to inferior in the short axis view of the heart, using incoherent imaging (Steady State Incoherent, SSI, or FLASH), and coherent imaging (Steady State Coherent, SSC, or BALANCED) [1] twice, without and with dipiridamole induced stress. We compared the results from analysis methods taken from the literature, namely the Fermi function (1, ‘Fermi’), Finite Differences (2, ‘FD’), 2 Compartment Tofts (3, ‘2CTM’), Exchange (4, ‘2CXM’), Uptake (5,’2CUM’), Tofts (6,’1CTM’), Patlak (7,’Patlak’), and the Maximum Slope (8, ‘upslope’) method [2].

Cardiac Perfusion Imaging Using Hyperpolarized 13C Urea Using Flow Sensitizing Gradients

PURPOSE To demonstrate the feasibility of imaging the first passage of a bolus of hyperpolarized (13)C urea through the rodent heart using flow-sensitizing gradients to reduce signal from the blood pool. METHODS A flow-sensitizing bipolar gradient was optimized to reduce the bright signal within the cardiac chambers, enabling improved contrast of the agent within the tissue capillary bed. The...

Comparing analysis methods in assessing dynamic dual bolus cardiac magnetic resonance perfusion flow

Background We compare eight reported methods (1-8) for the analysis of cardiac perfusion flow in 3 Tesla MRI on a porcine model. Therefore, an anaesthetized healthy minipig was repeatedly scanned (x5) with a 14 day interval with Turbo FLASH at 3T. The data obtained from the images consists of the temporal course of the arterial input function (AIF) and of the tissue response function (TRF). We ...

Diagnostic performance of 3T stress magnetic resonance myocardial perfusion imaging (MRMPI) using 32-channel cardiac coil in patients with coronary artery disease

Background/aim With newly available 32-channel cardiac coil, 3 tesla MRI system provides increased signal-to-noise radio (SNR), reduced imaging time and improved spatial resolution. This study sought to determine the diagnostic performance of 3T stress MRMPI with 32-channel cardiac coil in detecting clinical relevant coronary artery stenosis in comparison with invasive coronary angiography (ICA).

Relation Between Stress - Induced Myocardial Perfusion Defects on Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and Coronary Microvascular Dysfunction in Patients With Cardiac Syndrome

reversible myocardial perfusion defects during stress myocardial scintigraphy (2,3) and, even more, by the evidence of an impaired response to vasodilator stimuli of coronary blood flow and/or resistance, assessed with several different methods (4-10). In particular, a blunted increase in subendocardial flow in response to intravenous administration of adenosine (11) was shown by cardiovascular...
